Tobina Kahn, vice president House of Kahn Estate Jewelers, says that lot of necklaces, rings and unique items are coming her way this year with the price of gold jewelry doubling since the 2007 recession.
But, those selling gold jewelry must be alert to ensure they do not get duped. It is advised that they:
Visit reputable gold jewelers to get an appraisal of the gold jewelry on hand.
Get more than one appraisal, before selling gold jewelry so that a spot price of gold and commissions involved are known better.
Avoid weighing all gold jewelry together, as some dealers pay for the lowest karat value only.
Prise out diamonds or gemstones from gold jewelry before selling, as they fetch an additional sum.

San Francisco's Jewelry design store Pandora, has announced its new fall collection, available for sale and display at its exclusive Pandora concept store. The new fall collection will showcase new jewelry designs by Pandora, which include the Stories collection, the Moments collection, and the Compose collection. Pandora store owner Curtis Chong described their jewelry collection as elegant, edgy, and romantic. The collections include floral and star designs in a lot of ranges in jewelry. Chong also stated that the jewelry choices had expanded greatly in sterling silver and solid 14 karat gold, in the fall collection. Pandora is especially famous for its innovative bracelet designs, and the fall collection showcases unique charm bracelets, which are composed of a variety of beads.
