Jewelry designer, Hassan Bounkit has released his new 2010 collection of jewelry. The new collection inspired and engrossed with very tribal and ethnic designs, has a unique Mediterranean and ancient Moroccan feel to the jewelry. It includes over sized stones on bracelets and necklaces that will suit any person who dares to indulge themselves in beauty.

Starting his line of jewelry in 2006, the designer has had a rush of attention being featured in Vouge, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and Instyle magazine. This has allows his collection to be worn by celebrities such as Oprah, Live Tyler, Natasha Henstridge and Salma Hayek. Although Bounkit only releases one collection every year, the demand for the collection has continued to grow.

Avon Enters The World Of Jewelry

Avon, which is a company best known for their cosmetics, has plans to reach out the in the jewelry industry. The recent announcement released suggests that Avon will purchase the Jewelry Seller Silpada for at least 650 million dollars. The sterling silver jewelry seller, Silpada Designs' annual revenue is appropriately
$230 million, which Avon believes is a good investment to expand the Avon company.

Many people may not be aware that Avon already sells a small line of jewelry, however as price ranges under $25, the profit margin on the jewelry is significantly lower than Silpada Designs. Through investing in Silpada Designs, Avon will be able to not only expand their business, but deliver more sophisticated and beautiful pieces to consumers.

Nicky Hilton's Jewelry Collection

We haven't heard much about Nicky Hilton for a while but she has been working hard on a number of business ideas including her new line of jewelry. From the disappointing clothing line 'Chick' which Ms. Hilton released in 2008, she has now announced a partnership with Titan Brands to launch a jewelry collection.

The jewelry will be exclusively sold online at Endless this coming fall. Not much has been said whether making jewelry collections will be an ongoing job for Nicky Hilton or if this will be similar to her clothes line.

As with all celebrity endorsed products, the price range will be high but for many, owning a piece of Nicky Hilton's jewelry and being the envy of all those around you, might be worth paying anything for.

While jewelry has a deep history, there is no scope to trace back when jewelry was invented. Since ancient period, man had the passion to invent items like necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.

As per historical records, ancient Egyptians are the first people to invent gold jewelry. They invented gold bands, crowns, neck pieces, and even rings for their royalty. Moreover, the ancient Mayans of South America nicely designed elaborate pieces of jewelry made with carved and smoothed stone.

Handmade jewelry among the only things every historic culture worldwide has in common. In course of time, ways of making and designing jewelry have modified and while jewelry was once solely made by hand, most modern jewelry is manufactured.

Even at present, handmade jewelry is regarded as extremely unique material and you can often tell where the jewelry originated by its make and design. When the jewelry is handmade, generally it contains flaws and imperfections and ultimately made it priceless and timeless.

After your wedding, one more thing a woman looks forward to is the baby shower. This is often made into a surprise by your friends, relatives and workmates, but there is nothing wrong if you want to plan your own baby shower. That way, you can pick out a nice theme that will go into your baby shower invitations and your baby shower favors.

What baby shower gift will you bring to a baby shower party? Something for the baby is always the best answer. Something for the baby that the excited parents-to-be have not bought yet. To relieve your guests of the trouble of getting something for your baby shower, why not create a baby shower registry so that they will know firsthand what to give you?

I have seen so many crazy things like: bronze baby shoes, Bronze sculptures and bronze gifts for the babys room.

As to baby shower favors, something personalized is always the ticket. Maybe a picture of baby's ultrasound in a cute, small photo frame out of bronze surrounded by a basket of various-colored soaps shaped into animals and flowers? Any more ideas?
